The international ANTI –Contemporary Art Festival is being held for the 19th time from 27 October - 1 November 2020 as part of the Kuopio Region of Gastronomy year, and the theme of the festival is food.
The festival programmeis composed of works and projects by a wide range of artists dealing with food from different perspectives. Once again, we invite internationally successful, award-winning artists and today's most interesting Finnish artists to Kuopio.
In the festival week, we will be presenting one of the world's most interesting culture awards, the ANTI Festival International Prize for Live Art. The shortlisted works for this year's prize will be shown in Kuopio as part of the festival programme."Food sits at the heart of human civilization. It touches the intensely personal, the national, and the global with equal emphasis. Is there an industry, a field, an activity, a substance with more political, social and economic importance than food?" Artistic Directors Gregg Whelan and Johanna Tuukkanen.
